Devin Rau
Facilities Director
Bio
“We develop maintenance plans with new clients to address these issues before they become an expensive crisis. It all comes down to providing great customer service.”
Devin Rau brings a diverse pallet of experience to the team. His professional background is broad. And, these skills are relevant from taking the initial emergency call to working with local officials to ensure complete resolution to facility issues.
After two decades in engineer and mechanic roles, Devin hasn’t tired of the busy nature of commercial property management. His work includes industrial, hospitality, and healthcare operations. Across these roles, he’s focused on bridging the gap between technical issues and client expectations.
Commitment to Lifelong Learning
It’s here that his MA in Conflict Resolution comes in handy. “Telling clients that they have a $30,000 problem is hard,” Devin says. “We develop maintenance plans with new clients to address these issues before they become an expensive crisis. It all comes down to providing great customer service.”
Devin’s focus on customer service never falters. That’s demonstrated by his reviews throughout his career. Former colleagues rave about his abilities running engineering at large hotels and as Facilitator of the Year in Jefferson County. We also hear great things from Sterling CMG clients.
He also believes in lifelong education. Devin holds certifications in NSPF Pool Operator and EPA Universal refrigeration. He’s also extensively trained in boiler, hazardous materials, and water chemistry training.
Born and raised in the west, Devin only shares one regret from his journey so far: “Probably the biggest mistake I made in my life was leaving Montana.” Now that he’s back, Devin is excited to get back to hunting, fishing, boating, skiing, hiking, and playing more music. A final fun fact about Devin: if you’re a longtime Missoulian, you might have seen his band Viscosity Breakdown play Jay’s, The Ritz, or the Top Hat in the late 1990s and early aughts.
