Missoula West Broadway Development

Development has taken off on West Broadway in Missoula, Montana. 

We know that Missoulians love their coffee and Copper Mountain Coffee appears to be ready to capitalize on our shared dependency. The Montana-local coffee company purchased the old Subway building at 1650 West Broadway, so be on the lookout for an opening date. According to the Copper Mountain website, the company currently operates 12 locations across Polson, Whitefish, Missoula, Libby, Polson, Columbia Falls, and Kalispell. 

Further to the east, the former Clark Fork Inn at 1010 West Broadway has been purchased by the Poverello Center. The 17-unit hotel development consists of three buildings on approximately 12,400 square feet of land. It’s a small parcel located in the Opportunity Zone. The Poverello Center has been at max capacity for some time, so the sale may help expand services. 

From Mobile to Moving In

Immediately next door at 1016 West Broadway, local mobile food vendors Ragheef and Kamoon have made the jump into a brick and mortar space (as predicted). Ragheef covers lunch from 11 am – 2 pm and Kamoon serves dinner from 5 – 8 pm Tuesday to Sunday. We recommend all of the above. Across the street, Imagination Brewing is up for sale. Listed for $2,775,000, the sale will include the property, FF&E, and intellectual property. 

Further down, the Envision West Broadway, a master plan, crystalized the proposed development trajectory in this area. The plan calls for approximately 30,000 SF of space for retail/restaurants; 15,000 square feet of office space; 100+ market-rate housing; 70 affordable housing units; and community gathering areas and green space. The plan focuses on 15 acres on the western side of downtown.
