When she was a kid, Sandy Sanford put up House For Sale signs on the street and stuffed marketing mailers for a penny apiece. Sandy‘s mother was a realtor and helping out at showings was just the start of a career centered around real estate.
With experience as a loan officer, realtor, commercial property manager, and operations expert, Sandy understands commercial real estate with extraordinary nuance. In a former role, she oversaw the management of 1300 residential units and dozens of commercial properties.
From these experiences, Sandy understands the demands on property owners, landlords, and managers.
Her years in real estate were what drew her to Sterling Commercial Real Estate Advisors. She appreciated the team model after working with brokerage houses where agents operated on their own islands. “I liked the idea that if one of us wins, we all win,” Sandy said. “I think that’s better for the client, too.”
And beyond the innovative company structure, she jumped at the opportunity to join a powerful team in an expanding market. That’s because, while Sandy started her career on the east coast, she had settled in the inland northwest in 2009. Since then, she’d been learning the nuances of the region – and watching booming growth across Eastern Washington, Idaho, and Montana.
There’s one more (really important) reason that a move to Montana made sense for Sandy. She wanted to be close to her kids and Montana appealed to them as they finished up college and launched their careers. When Sandy isn’t at work, you’re likely to find her on the trail – often with her kids, Joy and Maxwell.
The only thing that Sandy wishes she could teleport to Missoula is either a Dutch Bros. coffee or another location of Birdie’s Pie Shop from Post Falls, Idaho. Fingers crossed we can attract some of these “absurdly delicious” pies to the Big Sky state soon.
